FIND THE PROBLEM, EXPLORE SOLUTIONS
Old fashioned teaching methods are faced with challenges today of being passive and hard to connect with, leading to low engagement and retention of students. As a result, teachers are faced with challenges of making historical content relatable within limited time.

PAIN POINTS
1. Low Student Engagement
-
History lessons often feel abstract, irrelevant, or boring
-
Students struggle to stay focused and retain information
2. Passive Learning Methods
-
Traditional formats (textbooks, lectures) don't encourage active participation or critical thinking
3. Lack of Personal Connection
-
Historical figures feel distant and inaccessible
-
Students rarely empathize with or deeply understand the people behind the events
4. Time Constraints for Teachers
-
Educators have limited time and resources to bring creativity into history lessons
-
Creating engaging content can be time-consuming and unsustainable
5. Limited Use of Modern Technology in Classrooms
-
Current tools often don’t match the digital fluency or expectations of Gen Z students
SO WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS?
1. Poor Retention and Academic Performance
-
Students are less likely to remember historical facts or understand broader narratives
2. Decreased Interest in Humanities
-
When history feels disconnected, students may avoid further study in humanities and social sciences
3. Missed Opportunities for Critical Thinking and Empathy
-
Without emotional connection or perspective-taking, students may not fully grasp the complexity of historical events
4. Teacher Burnout or Frustration
-
Repeated efforts to “make history fun” without scalable tools can exhaust educators
5. Widening Gap Between EdTech Potential and Classroom Reality
-
As generative AI evolves, classrooms risk falling behind unless tools are built with real educational needs in mind
LET'S MEET THE CHARACTERS, NOT JUST READING ABOUT THEM.
The aim was to create a platform to increase engagement in learning - that students can interact with realistic, AI-generated historical figures through video interviews.
By turning passive learning into dynamic dialogue, historiX enhances comprehension, curiosity, and emotional connection to the past.

TEST GENAI JEWISH HISTORICAL FIGURE CREATIONS ON LEONARDO AI MODELS
i tested different prompts on leonardo AI and trained models to try to get it as close as possible to the original historical figure
MUST HAVE KEY PROMPTS:
-
Front Facing Angle of camera should be facing camera to get a higher quality image
-
Realstic quality I tested skin textures and used prompts of skin textures and pores to show human like skin quality
-
Test on different models Some models work better than others for realistic human photography. I tested and trained different models until I got a result that were most accurate.

1. CREATING AN IMAGE USING CHATGPT
Prompts were far less detailed and in some cases, more accurate, espeically on well known figures, where there is presumably more visual data available online.

2. REPLICATING ORIGINAL VOICE AND ASKING QUESTIONS TO CHARACTER
USING A COMBINATION OF CHATGPT AND ELEVENLABS
He had an Eastern European accent mixed with American as he lived several years in new york. i wanted to create an answer to my question for him based on how he would most likely respond and in an accent as close to his as possible.
-
I downloaded snippets of his voice online
-
I then uploaded it to elevenlabs and synched it with a polish accent of an older man to try get his accent

3. CREATING A MOVING IMAGE (VIDEO) USING RUNWAY AI
I tested different lip synching models to match the text I wanted to create the final step in creating an interview with the historical figure of my choice.

4. IMPLEMENTING IT IN AN MOBILE APPLICATION
